I can't believe almost a month has gone by already! Seriously where does the time go? It's been a busy few weeks. We went to another wedding and then we blinked and Thanksgiving had come and gone. Thanksgiving was good...lots and lots of food mixed in with several family gatherings. It's hard to balance sometimes. We went to the Opryland Hotel on Saturday night with a million others who live in the Nashville vicinity. Everything was really beautiful, but anytime you have 12 family members in such a crowded place it can get a little crazy. We all made it in and out in one piece so that was something to be thankful for!!
I'm looking forward to lots of fun holiday festivities~ We've started the decorating process and plan to finish this weekend. I had to hunt down my shorter wreath hanger (i seriously looked in about every possible spot five times before locating that dang thing) for the front door and got a minor scratch on my arm when a box came crashing down...those seem to be the only snags in the process so far. ;) I can't wait to get our tree. I love the smell of a fresh Christmas tree!
In other news, we're meeting today to sign off on all of our selections for the new house. Whew~ has that been stressful. Picking brick and stone for the exterior of a home that you will look at for a long, long time? Eeeek. We drove around neighborhood after neighborhood looking at brick, stone and mortar and have finally chosen something! We'll be holding our breath until they start building and we can see it in person.
Jason is heading off to Japan again next week. Major bummer that he will miss some of the holiday fun. He'll be home just in time for my birthday and our Christmas holiday traveling, thank goodness.
I'll post some pictures soon. Happy, happy Friday!
