Good to be Back.



I'm finally getting back to the usual routine. Last week I went to the DC area for three days on a work trip. That's the longest I've been away from Kennedy. I did survive (my huge room upgrade didn't hurt) - was honestly too busy and tired most of the time to miss her too terribly! I was definitely very excited to get home and squeeze her. Par for the course - my plane was delayed several hours so I didn't get home until midnight! So glad to be getting back to normal. :) She's snoozing away right now, so I thought I'd attempt to update my poor, neglected blog.

We go on vacation in just a little over 2 weeks!! To say I'm excited is definitely an understatement! I CANNOT WAIT. Heard this little place is a gem. And how could you not love a place with this name?! I'm sure I won't want to leave - I settle into the slow pace and casual beach vibe way too easily. I will have a little scooter to keep me on my toes this time around though. ;)

I met Courtney & Lizzie at the pool last weekend to see how little K handled things. Um... she was a bit overwhelmed and super clingy. She didn't completely freak out, but hung on to me like glue and whined some when I tried to dip her little toes in the water. The water was on the cold side so I'm sure that didn't help. It was good to take her, but we only lasted about an hour or so. Mommies got really hungry (and something about all the greasy pool grill food wasn't appealing)! ;) Lizzie was channeling her inner fish - she LOVED it. She was so cute splashing around and sitting in the pool. Kennedy needs to take some lessons. Although, she does LOVE the cheap plastic baby pool you put in your yard. Guess she needs something closer to bathtub size to feel comfortable~ ;) We'll have to keep working on it...

I can't believe Kennedy is almost 11 months old. Seriously. Time to start planning her 1st Birthday party! Insane. It will be lots of fun~ Already seems like we'll have a busy summer ahead. She's become very vocal over the last month. Chats away and even says mommy some. :) She's definitely too cute for words. Hope everyone is enjoying the summer! Back soon.
