Trying to find the Good.

So... let me just recap the last week or so. Kennedy and I headed to Knoxville this past Friday to spend the weekend visiting Jason's parents since he was at the lake with the boys. It ends up being the worst weekend ever. I am so grateful for having such wonderful in-laws though. Kennedy ran a 104 fever early Saturday morning and was pitiful all weekend. We ended up making two trips to East Tennessee Children's Hospital before all was said and done. Most likely viral so we are doing much better now. Those that know me and my lovely anxiety just from those nice shots from the pediatrician know this was not easy for me at all. I knew we couldn't go anywhere else and the staff at the Children's Hospital were super nice. I survived by not being in the room for any of the torturous tests. Momma can only handle so much!

Kennedy was really doing much better by later Sunday afternoon. We made it back home and Monday everything seemed to be back to normal. Then early Tuesday morning I was hit with an awful stomach bug. I didn't leave the bed much all day. This is the one sickness I really don't handle well - really, who does?? I'm quite certain it was the bug Kennedy had. I'm feeling more like myself today, but it just takes so much out of you. It will be hard to catch up.

So...not much good in these parts lately. Late June and early July were really great! I still have tons to blog about. Our vacation was wonderful - I could use another day at the beach right about now. ;) The worst of the beach was our 1.5 hour wait for dinner at Pompano Joe's in the 100 degree heat! Never again with small children will we do this. We spent the time down by the water and Kennedy loved the ocean! She also spotted a parasailer and watched and pointed the whole time. :) I really do promise to recap birthday and vacation it their entirity soon. Tons of pics to share too.

One thing I will gladly admit - I AM SO READY FOR FALL! Bring on the crisp, cool air, pumpkin spice lattes, long sleeves... Sigh.
