No Good Rest for the Weary.

Ok, let's see... started this post over a week ago and now Christmas has come and gone. Whew. Not quite the cheery holiday title for my post now, huh?? December has just been crazy. Between house selections (the brick choice was the toughest), putting current house on the market, holiday shopping, a more than wild 17-month-old, and trying to make plans for BG2... it's amazing I am remotely sane. I did survive Christmas and managed to enjoy some much needed time off from work too. I believe the weary part of my title can be summed up to not getting to bed before 11 pm for several weeks in a row. It always catches up with you. Thankfully bedtime is somewhat back on track. Started back to work this week - wah. wah.

Santa didn't go too crazy this year since Kennedy is still a year or two away from realizing all the fun that awaits her. As many witnessed on FB, Kennedy wasn't too keen on Santa this year. Poor thing just wailed her little head off until she was removed. Lizzie was a bundle of fun on Santa's lap this year. Guess they just might trade out year after year who is fearful of the man in the red suit. ;)

We spent the beginning of Christmas in Memphis and I celebrated a birthday there as well. Think I'll start pleading the fifth regarding my age. It's insane how young we still feel even as that number creeps up. Eeek. We had a great time playing with Aunt Christie and cousin Kylie. Kennedy is really into saying all the family names now. It's adorable. Unc Bryant is the cutest! We went to the Enchanted Forest which back in the day was the most magical place ever. Can't say the same for today's version, but it's still a really neat thing to see. Kennedy had the most fun going over and over a little fake bridge they had set up at the end. She also enjoyed watching the trains go round and round.

I got a new lens for my camera (thank you, Jason) and was super excited to put it to use. Hope to upload some pics tonight...and get with the program and post some on here!! I feel like a complete slacker lately but I guess I have some legitimate excuses. I really hope to kick things into gear in January. Maybe it's good this baby will be born right after the most boring (i mean, COLD) months ever.

Will post again soon... hold me to it - AGAIN, please. And Kembree...so sorry I missed you! Falling down in the friend department too lately it seems. Bring on the new year!!
