Sew Good.

You'll have to excuse the cheesy title, but I'll get to that in a minute. Jason's parents were in town last weekend to help us finish up some things around the house {more specifically, the nursery}. I think we are mostly prepared now. :) I have to say that my in-laws are really, really great. I know I'm lucky so I will count my blessings! I can't imagine how hard it would be to have in-laws that just don't make life easy - and I know there are plenty out there. So, so glad it's not me. ;)

Now to the sewing part. My mother-in-law definitely does not want to sew for a living, but she is very good at it and graciously spent most of last weekend sewing curtains for the nursery. And they are sooo pretty! I couldn't be more happy with how they turned out. :) We used some existing white panels from our office and added ribbon and fabric to the bottoms to make them long enough - simple enough - or so we thought! Who knew it would take so long?! Adding at least four ribbons to each panel couldn't have had anything to do with that now could it? Whew. I know she had to have been happy to go home for relief from the sewing machine! ;)

Crazy to think the next time they visit will be to see a tiny little baby girl! I'm doing good, but definitely feeling the more uncomfortable effects of a baby that seems to get heavier and heavier every day. Starting my maternity leave a week early sounds pretty good to me... we'll see~

And now for the very fun part of the post!

Unsolicited advice warning!
I see you have a wedge in the crib. It was a life saver for us, especially since Everett had GERD, but a word of warning. You might find Kennedy has wriggled her way to the bottom of it and her face is scarily between the side wedges-its very common and that's why they are made of breathable fabric though a good, tight burrito swaddle will help prevent the wriggle down-at least most of the time.

Love the room. What is the name of the color. By the way I am due in 9 days. I am naming my daughter Kennedy Grace.
