A Good Post...

...is long overdue, I know, I know. It's just taking me slightly longer than I imagined to get back into the swing of things. We've had lots of visitors in town so the last couple of weeks have flown by. I ventured out by myself for the first time last week. It was really envigorating to be out on my own after an entire week in the hospital. It was only a trip to Target, but it felt sooo good to get out. And it seems I'll probably be spending quite a bit of time in Tarjey from now on. I think I've been at least five times in the last week or so! Yikes!

Had a bad case of "mom-nesia" last week. My mom was here and we ventured out to Target and somehow I LOST my sunglasses inside the store. One minute they were on my head and then they were gone. I did try on some clothes so I assumed they would still be in the dressing room - nope! I figure someone must have come behind me and decided to take them for themselves. Luckily they were just Target sunglasses so no major loss there. When I came home to tell Jason of my sunglass woes, he reminded me that I have an extra pair - the same exact pair - in my car. Yay, no need to shop for new ones. Well... a few days later I'm in Target yet again and completely forgot about this conversation. I find a lovely new pair and tell Jason about them when I get home. He laughs and reminds me of the sunglasses still in my car! Oops. I'm chalking that one up to lack of sleep! ;) Made me laugh at myself though.

I haven't forgotten to blog...have been meaning to for at least a week now. Obviously, life with a newborn throws things into a tailspin for just a while. I'm hoping to get back to "normal" things very soon. I know nothing will ever be entirely the same again, but my anal organizing personality is kicking into overdrive with everything I want and need to do around the house.

I will do better at the blogging thing - just give me a little more time.

Well, that, along with ordering the birth announcements, Courtney's baby shower, laundry, dishes...the list is truly never-ending.

P.S. Did I mention our beach trip is in a little over a month? Not that I'm counting or anything! ;)
