From yesterday...We are heading south to sunny Florida on Saturday! I could not be more excited! :) I was very worried this time last week that Ike would ruin our long awaited vacation. I do not want to wish ill will on Texas, but I am so, so thankful that a) this hurricane is staying away from New Orleans; b) the panhandle of Florida is safely hundreds of miles away from where it will hit; and c) it has weakened. I just hope it doesn't become a monster before it strikes land. This hurricane season has been nasty!
I had forgotten how fabulous the house we rented at the beach is going to be! It's HUGE. I might not have mentioned, but there will be 13 adults, 2 2-month olds, and a 13-month old! We must be insane! ;) We're having professional pictures taken on Thursday - yay! I'm really looking forward to having some great family photos. Thanks to Raven for the recommendation. :) Hello gorgeous:

I've started packing our bags...still more to do, but at least I have a handle on things. Kennedy also went to her dayschool for the first time today. I went to meet her teacher and pick up some more forms to fill out. I left her for about three hours. She did great (slept most of the time)! :) And her teacher is young, laid-back and very good with the babies. I had quite a bit of anxiety driving her there, but once we arrived I felt better. When I think about leaving her it kills me, but I really feel confident in my choice for her dayschool. I think she will love it.
And today...I can't believe it's been seven years. I definitely won't ever forget. Having friends who lived in NYC at the time made it so real for all of us. I saved the email Shannon sent because it touched me so much. So much has happened in those seven years. Lots of marriages and babies. Lots of very happy things to help ease our minds.
I've come down with a terrible sinus issue over the last couple of days. My productivity today isn't good at all. I'm hoping it passes soon...hopefully this doesn't make the 8+ hour drive with a tiny one that much worse. Wish us luck! ;)
And here is Kennedy's latest favorite activity~
I might try to post from the beach~ Have a great week!
