Wow, how is it already September? I have about 10 posts worth of catching up to do. Eeek. Jason and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary (hate that I didn't post on the 20th). It's crazy to believe how much we've packed into that short amount of time~ I've caught up on my pictures so I'll just recap the last several weeks that way.
:: Courtney's Shower ::
Anna made these adorable cupcake lollipops for favors and Lizzie got the most adorable My First Chair from PBK.
:: Lizzie & Kennedy's 1st Outting ::
We went to the Hill Center (Swoozies, Anthropologie, Whole Foods, OH MY). The babies really seemed to enjoy themselves! ;) Kennedy was wide-eyed and Lizzie just snoozed away.
:: Kylie's 1st Birthday Party ::
Kennedy's 1st road trip. She slept the whole way to Memphis, but had one meltdown on the way home. Kylie couldn't have been cuter. There were bubbles and balloons galore!
P.S. Kylie loooved Kennedy's soothie. :)
:: Visiting family & friends ::
Labor Day weekend provided Kennedy with her 2nd road trip...she did not handle this trip as well, but we did ok (in other words Mommy survived). It was great to visit with family & friends in Knoxville. We saw Raven, Mary-Kate and Parker on Saturday. Sunday we had a great family gathering - Jason's uncle gave us a very special gift. He made Kennedy a rocking chair. He also put a plaque on the bottom since it was made in memory of Jason's grandfather. I think it's pretty neat to be the first to use what will certainly become a family heirloom. Monday we got to visit with Erin, Josh, Eileen, Shannon and David! Eileen is just adorable and so sweet and I absolutely loved getting to see my favorite sisters. :) I miss my Knoxville girls. I hope our kids will force us to see each other more often. And it is now officially, FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE. Such a bummer we lost to UCLA though.
I feel like I truly have a handle on life with baby now - unlike a few weeks ago. It's still such a learning process, but much less overwhelming. :)
Side note :: We finally got a new hard drive on our laptop. Backing up everything and getting it all back on is so time consuming - whew!
