A Good Half.

It's been half a year since sweet little Kennedy entered our lives - almost to the minute. :) Yes, it's crazy busy and overwhelming at times, but I couldn't have hoped for a better six months. Little K is as sweet as can be. I just laid her down for what I hope is a long winter's nap. She and I both survived her six months shots - barely. Yikes, I really hate that part of the appointment. The enjoyable part is finding out how much she's grown. Little K is still a petite thing - 14 lbs, 1 oz and 25 inches long. She has started sitting on her own - quite the big girl. ;) She also chats us up constantly now. Her paci still gets the best conversations out of her which is pretty hilarious. We're going to try some sweet potatoes tonight...BIG STUFF, I'm telling you.

I'm taking a big step - going to spend a night away from my munchkin. Saturday I'm off to Atlanta for some much-needed girl time. Courtney, Raven, another friend, and I are going to spend the day browsing here, here and here. Too much fun! A nice dinner with wine will be good too! :) Hopefully I won't have the urge to call home every couple of hours to check in! Jason will have help - his parents are coming to visit so between the three of them I know Kennedy will be in good hands.

I cannot believe how cold it is in Tennessee right now. Usually the brutal cold waits (if we even see brutal cold at all) until late January or February. Nope - it's getting down to about 2 degrees tonight. OUCH. That is quite painful for us sissy southerners. ;) And if it is this cold, we all just wish for the white stuff. Brutal cold with sunny skies just makes everyone grumpy! Hmmmph.
